Effective date: 18.07.2026
These Terms of Use apply to the use of fix246, available at https://fix246.com.
fix246 is operated by L. Kreis, trading as fix246. Full legal provider information is available in our Legal Notice.
1. About fix246
fix246 is an online platform focused on Barbados. It helps people, property owners, landlords, Airbnb hosts, hotels, guest houses, property managers, offices, companies and other users find, present, save and contact Service Providers for home, property, repair, maintenance, cleaning, gardening, installation and related property services.
fix246 is built as a bridge between Germany and Barbados. The platform combines a German approach to structure, reliability, transparency, careful digital operations and strong privacy standards with a clear local focus on Barbados, its communities, its properties and the practical needs of people living, working, investing or managing property on the island.
Our aim is to bring together the best of both worlds: a well-organised digital platform with clear rules and responsible platform management, and a Barbados-focused service network that understands that reliable local help matters when something needs fixing.
fix246 provides digital platform tools. fix246 does not itself provide repair, maintenance, construction, cleaning, gardening, plumbing, electrical, roofing, security, pest control, property management or other physical services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, fix246 is not a party to any contract for work or services agreed between users.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using fix246, creating an account, posting a Job Request, adding a Service Offering, contacting another user, using Availability, using the Service Network, using the Opportunity Hub, submitting an advertising enquiry or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use fix246.
3. Important role of fix246
fix246 is a platform for presenting, finding, organising and contacting users. It is not an employer, contractor, subcontractor, agent, broker, insurer, escrow provider, payment provider, licensing authority, building authority, emergency service or guarantee provider.
Contracts for actual work, services, prices, timing, payment, quality, warranties, insurance, permits, licences, safety arrangements and completion are agreed directly between the relevant users.
Users are responsible for checking whether another user is suitable, qualified, licensed, insured and available for the relevant job.
fix246 may provide digital tools, guides, prompts, labels, filters, availability displays, saved-provider tools or opportunity tracking tools. These tools are intended to support users, but they do not replace the user’s own judgement, checks, legal obligations or direct communication.
4. No emergency service
fix246 is not an emergency response platform. Users should not rely on fix246 for urgent, life-threatening, dangerous or emergency situations.
If there is an immediate risk to life, health, safety, property or public security, users should contact the appropriate emergency services, authorities, property manager, insurer or qualified emergency professional directly.
5. User roles on fix246
fix246 may be used by different types of users, including:
- visitors who browse publicly available pages;
- registered users who create an account;
- Job Request posters who post work they need help with;
- Service Providers who publish Service Offerings;
- Business Service Providers who offer services independently or on behalf of an authorised business;
- Commercial Clients who use fix246 mainly to request services for business, rental, professional, property-management or organisational purposes;
- advertisers, training providers or institutions who submit advertising, training or listing enquiries.
These roles may overlap. A registered user may both request services and offer services, where appropriate.
Commercial Client and Business Service Provider are account-type descriptions created and used by fix246. They are not government-issued registrations, legal business forms, professional licences or official classifications under Barbados law.
The Service Network and Opportunity Hub are available to registered users regardless of their Account Type, subject to these Terms, technical availability and any reasonable platform restrictions.
fix246 may change, add, limit or remove user roles and features from time to time.
6. Eligibility
You may use fix246 only if you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements.
If you use fix246 on behalf of a business, company, institution, property owner, landlord, hotel, guest house, property manager or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of that organisation.
7. Accounts and registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, including your username, email address, password and, where applicable, profile details, business name, account type and Service Offering information.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must notify fix246 if you believe that your account has been accessed without permission.
fix246 may offer sign-up or sign-in through third-party services such as Google. If you use a third-party login, the third-party provider may process data according to its own terms and privacy policy.
fix246 may use email verification, registration confirmation, security checks and spam prevention tools to protect the platform.
fix246 may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, misuse the platform, violate these Terms or create legal, security, safety or reputational risks.
8. Account Types and free use
fix246 currently offers different Account Types, including Standard, Commercial Client and Business Service Provider accounts.
A Standard account is the default Account Type and may be used to post Job Requests, create Service Offerings, contact other users and use the platform tools made available to registered users.
A Commercial Client account is intended for a person or organisation that uses fix246 mainly to request services for business, rental, professional, property-management or organisational purposes rather than solely for personal, domestic or household purposes.
A Business Service Provider account is intended for a self-employed individual, sole trader, independent contractor, partnership, company or authorised business representative that offers services to clients as part of a trade, business, profession or other commercial activity.
Account Types may affect how a user, Job Request or Service Offering is described or labelled on fix246. For example, a Job Request may be marked as Commercial or a Service Offering may be shown as being provided by a Business Service Provider.
All Account Types currently offered by fix246 are free. Selecting a Commercial Client or Business Service Provider Account Type does not create a payment obligation.
By selecting an Account Type, you confirm that the information you provide about how you use fix246 is accurate and not misleading. You must update your Account Type or account information if it no longer reflects how you use the platform.
If you select Commercial Client and act on behalf of a property owner, landlord, company, hotel, guest house, property manager or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act on its behalf.
If you select Business Service Provider, you confirm that you offer services independently or on behalf of an authorised business and that you are legally entitled to provide the services you offer. You remain responsible for any business registrations, tax registrations, licences, permits, qualifications, insurance, immigration status or work permissions required for your activities.
Selecting an Account Type does not mean that fix246 has verified your identity, business registration, legal status, qualifications, licences, insurance, tax status or permission to work. It is also not a conclusive legal determination of whether you act as a consumer or as a business in any particular transaction.
fix246 may request supporting information, correct or remove inaccurate labels, change an Account Type or restrict an account where information appears to be false, misleading or inconsistent with these Terms.
9. Job Requests
A Job Request allows a user to explain what needs to be done, where the work is needed and when help is required.
If you post a Job Request, you are responsible for making sure that:
- the information is accurate, clear and lawful;
- you are authorised to request the work at the relevant property or location;
- the requested work is legal and safe;
- you do not request work that requires illegal activity or unauthorised access;
- you do not mislead Service Providers about the scope, timing, urgency, budget, location or conditions of the job;
- you provide relevant safety information where necessary;
- you do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in public fields;
- you do not publish private addresses or access details unless this is appropriate, authorised and necessary.
Posting a Job Request does not guarantee that you will receive responses, quotes, availability or completed work.
If exact property access details, private addresses, alarm codes, key arrangements or other sensitive information are needed, they should generally be shared only through appropriate private communication and only with users you have chosen to engage with.
10. Service Offerings
A Service Offering allows a Service Provider to describe the type of work they offer, where they work, which categories apply and when they may be available.
If you publish a Service Offering, you are responsible for making sure that:
- your information is accurate, truthful and not misleading;
- you are able and legally permitted to provide the services you advertise;
- you hold any licences, permits, certifications, insurance, immigration or work permissions, professional qualifications or business registrations required for the services you offer;
- you do not claim qualifications, experience, availability, business status or insurance that you do not have;
- you comply with applicable Barbados laws and any other laws that apply to your services;
- you keep your Service Offering, contact details, business details, service categories, Parish information, availability and opening hours up to date;
- your images, descriptions, business names, logos, links and social media references do not infringe third-party rights.
fix246 does not verify every Service Provider, qualification, licence, insurance policy, business registration, legal permission or claim unless expressly stated.
11. Service categories
fix246 may organise Service Offerings and Job Requests by categories such as air conditioning, appliance services, carpentry, cleaning, electrical, gardening, masonry, painting, pest control, plumbing, pool and water services, property maintenance, roofing, security and access, solar and energy, tiling, waste removal and other related categories.
Categories are intended to help users find relevant services. They do not represent a certification, licence, endorsement or guarantee by fix246.
Users remain responsible for checking whether a category is appropriate for their work or service.
12. Availability and opening hours
fix246 may allow Service Providers to show availability for upcoming dates and, for certain account types, regular opening hours.
Availability information is provided by the Service Provider and is intended as a helpful indication only. It is not a guarantee that the Service Provider will accept, start or complete a job at that time.
Users should always confirm availability directly before relying on it.
fix246 may automatically display availability filters, calendar views or availability labels based on information entered by Service Providers.
Availability may appear in Service Offerings, listing cards, listing pages, Service Network views, search filters, the Opportunity Hub or other platform areas.
13. Parish and location information
fix246 may allow Job Requests and Service Offerings to include Parish or other location information in Barbados.
Location and Parish information is provided by users and may be used to help others understand where a job is needed or where a Service Provider offers services.
Users must not post private addresses, access information or sensitive location information unless they are authorised to do so and it is necessary for the purpose of the request or service.
Parish information is informational only and may not always reflect an exact work location or full service area.
14. Messaging and communication
fix246 may provide messaging, reply or contact functions to help users communicate.
Users are responsible for their own communications. You must not send spam, harassment, threats, abusive messages, discriminatory content, illegal offers, misleading information or content that violates these Terms.
fix246 does not routinely monitor or review private messages. Messages that are still stored may be accessed by authorised persons only where technically necessary to respond to a specific support request, investigate reported misuse or a security incident, comply with a legal obligation, or enforce these Terms.
fix246 is not responsible for resolving contractual or payment disputes between users. Users should retain any information they may require for their own records.
fix246 does not guarantee that messages will be delivered, read, answered or acted upon.
Private messages exchanged through fix246 are normally stored in the active platform database for 180 days after they are sent. After this period, they are automatically deleted from the active messaging system. Copies may remain temporarily in routine backups until the applicable backup cycle has expired. Messages may be retained for longer where this is necessary to investigate reported misuse, protect the platform or comply with legal obligations.
15. Service Network
The Service Network is available to registered users and helps them keep saved Service Providers and Service Offerings organised in one place, browse saved services by category, check displayed availability and contact providers when work is needed.
Saving a Service Provider or Service Offering does not create an employment, agency, exclusivity, partnership, guarantee, endorsement or preferred-supplier relationship with fix246. It is only a platform feature that helps users organise their own contacts and preferences.
Availability shown inside the Service Network is informational only and must be confirmed directly with the Service Provider.
fix246 does not guarantee that a saved Service Provider will remain available, active, suitable, insured, licensed or willing to accept a job.
16. Opportunity Hub
The Opportunity Hub is available to registered users and may allow them to save Job Requests, mark interest, update statuses, plan next actions, keep notes and organise potential work opportunities and client connections.
The Opportunity Hub is an organisational tool only. It does not guarantee that a saved Job Request will lead to paid work, a contract, a response or a successful opportunity.
Users are responsible for the notes, statuses and follow-up information they add to the Opportunity Hub. They must not store unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or unnecessary sensitive information.
The Opportunity Hub is intended to help users organise opportunities. It does not create a CRM, agency, brokerage, employment or sales relationship between fix246 and the user.
17. Guides, assistants and automated helper tools
fix246 may provide guides, helper tools, prompts, assistants, pre-filled text suggestions, category guidance, title guidance, service posting guidance, availability tools or other user assistance features.
These tools are provided for convenience only. They may help users structure their Job Requests, Service Offerings, opening hours, availability or other information, but users remain responsible for reviewing, correcting and approving all content before publishing or sending it.
fix246 does not guarantee that suggested wording, categories, descriptions, titles, availability entries or other generated or assisted content will be complete, accurate, legally compliant or suitable for a specific purpose.
18. Advertising and sponsored placements
fix246 may offer advertising or promotional placements, including on the home page, Job Requests pages, My Guide, Skills & Certifications, Service Provider category pages or other parts of the platform.
Submitting an advertising enquiry is non-binding. A placement is not confirmed until fix246 has accepted it in writing and any agreed commercial terms have been confirmed.
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their adverts, claims, images, logos, training descriptions, offers and landing pages are accurate, lawful and do not infringe third-party rights.
fix246 may refuse, edit, pause or remove advertisements or sponsored placements that are misleading, unlawful, inappropriate, low quality, harmful to users or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform.
Where legally required or appropriate, fix246 may label advertising or promotional placements as advertising, sponsored, featured, promoted or similar.
Sponsored or featured placement does not mean that fix246 verifies, guarantees or endorses the advertiser, Service Provider, institution, training provider, product or service.
fix246 may record first-party technical performance information relating to advertising and sponsored placements. This may include the relevant campaign, placement, page type, broad device category, number of impressions, number of clicks and calculated click-through rate.
This information may be used to operate, evaluate and report on advertising placements. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, advertising statistics are indicative only. They may be affected by repeated visits, automated traffic, browser settings, caching, ad blockers, technical errors or other circumstances and are not independently audited.
fix246 does not guarantee any minimum number of impressions, clicks, enquiries, leads, customers, sales or other results unless a specific guarantee has been expressly agreed in writing.
If a campaign receives materially less exposure than forecast because of a fix246 outage or a technical delivery problem, fix246 may extend the campaign at no additional cost.
By supplying advertising materials, the advertiser confirms that it has the necessary rights to use them and grants fix246 a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, resize, crop, format and technically adapt the materials as reasonably necessary for the agreed advertising placement. Material changes to the meaning or claims of an advertisement require the advertiser’s approval.
19. User content
Users may submit or publish content including usernames, profile information, business names, descriptions, Job Requests, Service Offerings, images, availability, opening hours, Parish information, messages, notes, social links, website links, advertising enquiries and other content.
You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant fix246 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt, publish and make available that content as needed to operate, promote, secure and improve the platform.
This licence includes the right to display public listings, public profiles, public images, public categories, public Parish information and public Service Offering information on fix246 and in related platform areas.
You confirm that you have all rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate any law, contract, privacy right, intellectual property right or other third-party right.
20. Images, logos and media
If you upload images, logos or other media, you confirm that you have the right to use them and to allow fix246 to display them.
You must not upload images that are unlawful, misleading, offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, unsafe or unrelated to the relevant listing, profile, service or enquiry.
fix246 may remove images or media that violate these Terms, create legal risk or reduce the quality and trustworthiness of the platform.
21. Social links and external links
Users may be able to add links to websites, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or other external profiles.
Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of any external links they provide.
fix246 is not responsible for third-party websites, social media pages, messages, external content, external offers or communication that takes place outside the platform.
fix246 may remove links that appear unsafe, misleading, unlawful, irrelevant, spam-like or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform.
22. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use fix246 to:
- post false, misleading or deceptive information;
- offer or request illegal services;
- offer regulated services without required licences, permits or qualifications;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights or other rights;
- post abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative or harassing content;
- post content that exposes private information without permission;
- impersonate another person or business;
- scrape, copy, harvest or misuse platform data;
- interfere with the security or operation of the platform;
- upload malware or harmful code;
- bypass access controls, paid features or account restrictions;
- send spam or unsolicited mass messages;
- use fix246 for scams, fraud, phishing, fake jobs, fake services or money laundering;
- manipulate search results, availability, ratings, listings or user trust signals;
- use the platform in a way that creates safety risks for other users;
- post unnecessary sensitive personal data;
- misuse messaging, contact forms or advertising enquiry forms;
- use automated tools to access, copy or overload the platform without permission.
23. Moderation, removal and reporting
fix246 may review, edit, reject, hide, remove or restrict content, listings, accounts, messages, adverts or features where fix246 believes that they violate these Terms, applicable law, platform policies or the purpose of fix246.
If you believe that content on fix246 is illegal, misleading, unsafe, infringing or otherwise violates these Terms, you may report it to: report[at]fix246[dot]com.
Your report should include:
- a clear description of the content;
- the URL or location of the content;
- the reason for the report;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that the report is made in good faith.
fix246 may take action based on reports, but does not guarantee any particular outcome. Users who repeatedly submit unlawful, abusive, misleading or low-quality content may be suspended or removed.
24. Verification and user responsibility
Account Types, Commercial labels, Business Service Provider labels, profile details, business names and other user information are self-declared unless they are expressly marked as verified by fix246.
A Commercial or Business label does not confirm that a user is incorporated, registered with a government authority, registered for tax, licensed, insured, qualified or legally permitted to perform every service they offer.
fix246 may introduce optional verification tools for certain users, businesses, advertisers, Service Providers or Commercial Clients.
Unless a profile, listing, provider, advertiser, document or account is clearly marked as verified by fix246, users should assume that the relevant information has not been independently verified.
Even where fix246 performs a check, the check may be limited in scope and does not guarantee current validity, competence, quality, safety, suitability or legal compliance.
Users remain responsible for their own decisions, contracts and safety checks. Before agreeing to work, users should consider confirming identity, authority to act, experience, qualifications, licences, insurance, price, scope, timing, property access, cancellation terms, payment arrangements and any applicable legal requirements.
25. Payments between users
Unless fix246 expressly offers an integrated payment feature, payments for work or services are arranged directly between users outside the platform.
fix246 is not responsible for payment disputes, refunds, deposits, late payment, non-payment, pricing disagreements or tax treatment between users.
If fix246 introduces paid plans, paid advertising, featured placements or other paid platform services, those payments are separate from payments between Job Request posters and Service Providers.
26. Paid platform services
Account registration, the currently offered Account Types and the current standard access to the Service Network and Opportunity Hub are free.
A free account or free Account Type will not automatically be converted into a paid service. fix246 will not charge a user unless the user has expressly agreed to purchase the relevant paid service.
fix246 may offer separate optional paid platform services, including advertising, sponsored placements, featured listings, promotional visibility or additional premium digital tools.
The price, duration, scope, renewal terms, cancellation terms and payment terms for any optional paid service will be displayed or agreed separately before an order is placed.
Paid platform services do not guarantee leads, jobs, enquiries, business success, ranking, visibility, responses, revenue or completed work unless expressly stated in writing.
27. Taxes, invoices and legal compliance
Users are responsible for their own taxes, invoices, VAT, national insurance, business registration, work permits, professional licences, insurance and legal obligations.
Service Providers and advertisers must ensure that they comply with any applicable laws in Barbados, Germany or any other relevant jurisdiction.
fix246 does not provide tax, legal, insurance, immigration, employment, business registration or licensing advice.
28. Safety and property access
Users are responsible for arranging safe access to any property, site or workplace.
Job Request posters should disclose relevant hazards. Service Providers should assess risks before starting work and should not perform work they are not qualified, authorised or equipped to perform.
Users should be careful when arranging property access, keys, entry codes, security information, payment, deposits or meetings with other users.
fix246 is not responsible for accidents, injuries, property damage, defective work, delays, theft, loss, unsafe conditions or disputes arising from work arranged through the platform.
29. No guarantee of legality, quality or suitability
fix246 may help users find, organise and contact each other, but fix246 does not guarantee:
- that a Service Provider is licensed, insured, qualified or suitable;
- that a Job Request is genuine, lawful or safe;
- that a user is who they claim to be;
- that a Service Offering is accurate or complete;
- that work will be completed properly, on time or at an agreed price;
- that any user will comply with local laws, tax rules, insurance requirements or professional standards.
Users must make their own checks before entering into any agreement.
30. Intellectual property of fix246
The fix246 name, logo, design, layout, text, platform structure, custom code, guides, images, categories and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to fix246 unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, scrape, distribute, resell or exploit fix246 materials without permission, except as allowed by law or normal platform use.
31. Third-party services
fix246 may use third-party tools and services, including hosting providers, WordPress, HivePress, email providers, Google sign-in, Google reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, payment providers, security services and other technical service providers.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. fix246 is not responsible for third-party websites, services or content that are not controlled by fix246.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms and privacy information from those providers.
32. Google login and spam protection
fix246 may allow users to register or sign in using Google login.
fix246 uses Google reCAPTCHA v2 to protect account registration against spam, bots, automated abuse and fraudulent registrations.
fix246 uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact and advertising enquiry form against spam, bots and automated abuse.
These security services may process technical signals required to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. They are provided by Google and Cloudflare and may be subject to the providers’ own terms and privacy information.
Further information about the processing of personal data through these services is provided in the Privacy Policy.
33. Availability of the platform
fix246 aims to keep the platform available and useful, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation.
The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, hosting issues, security measures or events outside fix246’s control.
fix246 may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
34. No guarantee of results
fix246 does not guarantee that:
- a Job Request will receive responses;
- a Service Provider will be contacted or chosen;
- a user will obtain work, clients, revenue or business opportunities;
- a user will find a suitable provider;
- availability information will be complete or current;
- content submitted by users will be accurate;
- any job will be completed to a particular standard;
- advertising or sponsored placement will create leads, enquiries or revenue.
35. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, fix246 is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, loss of opportunity, reputational harm or consequential damages.
fix246 is not liable for acts, omissions, statements, services, work, quality, delays, cancellations, pricing, payment disputes, injuries, property damage or legal compliance of users.
fix246 is not liable for third-party websites, external links, social media profiles, Google services, payment providers, hosting providers or other third-party services outside fix246’s control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory consumer rights.
36. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold fix246 harmless from claims, losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from your content, your use of the platform, your services, your Job Requests, your advertising, your breach of these Terms or your violation of law or third-party rights.
This includes claims related to inaccurate listings, unlawful services, intellectual property infringement, privacy violations, unsafe work, unpaid taxes, missing licences, misleading advertising or disputes between users.
37. Privacy
The processing of personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of the overall legal information for fix246 but is a separate document.
By using fix246, you acknowledge that personal data may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
38. Suspension and termination
fix246 may suspend or terminate your account or access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, misuse the platform, provide false information, fail to pay agreed fees, or if required by law.
fix246 may also remove or restrict listings, Service Offerings, Job Requests, messages, images, adverts, links or other content if they appear to violate these Terms or create risk for the platform or users.
You may stop using fix246 at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting termination[at]fix246[dot]com, subject to legal retention obligations and legitimate platform needs.
39. Changes to these Terms
fix246 may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on the website with a new effective date.
For material changes, fix246 may notify registered users by email or platform notice where appropriate.
Continued use of fix246 after changes take effect means that you accept the updated Terms.
40. Germany, Barbados and applicable legal context
fix246 is operated from Germany and focused on Barbados.
The platform is intended to combine German and European standards for structured platform operation, privacy and transparency with a practical Barbados-focused service environment.
Users who offer or request services in Barbados are responsible for complying with applicable Barbados laws, including any requirements relating to business registration, licences, work permissions, immigration status, taxes, insurance, safety and professional standards.
Users located in Germany, the European Union, Barbados or elsewhere may also be subject to additional local laws depending on their location, role and activities.
41. Governing law and jurisdiction
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms and the platform relationship between you and fix246 are governed by the laws of Germany.
This does not affect mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence or in Barbados.
Contracts for actual work or services between users may be subject to Barbados law or other applicable local law, depending on the circumstances.
If you act as a consumer, mandatory consumer rights and mandatory jurisdiction rules may apply.
If you act as a business user, the place of jurisdiction may be Frankfurt am Main, Germany, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
