Your Availability details can make all the difference — especially when people need help urgently.
How Availability works on fix246
Why your ‘Availability’ matters?
People don’t want to spend ages looking for an available service provider. They simply want to find someone who can help them exactly when they need it.
Availability shows when a service provider is available over the next 14 days, thereby helping users decide who to contact.
Keeping your ‘Availability’ up to date will increase your chances of being contacted.
1. Enter and update your Availability
To do this, simply go to ‘My availability’ via the navigation menu or in your Profile section.
Availability is shown for the next 14 days. You can mark days as available at specific times, available by appointment, or not available.
2. Business Service Providers can add their regular opening hours
Your opening hours are visible to others on your profile and can help them understand when you are available to be contacted.
3. Use quick options
There are several quick options that will help you to easily set and update your availability.
Business Service Providers can use additionally:
4. Keep your Availability up to date
Availability works best when it is kept up to date. The easiest way is to enter ‘by appointment’. This shows that you’re available on that day, but still gives you the flexibility you need.
When your schedule is more definite, you can simply enter specific time slots showing when exactly you are available.
5. How others see your Availability
Your Availability is displayed in your Service Offerings and in the Service Provider search.
Commercial clients can also view your Availability in their Service Network. This can make it easier for them to choose your service when they need support at a specific time.
Best practice
Keep your Availability simple, but reliable. The most important period is usually the next 7 days, because this is when urgent and time-sensitive jobs are most likely to happen.
A good routine is to update your Availability twice a week, for example at the beginning of the week and again before the weekend. If your schedule changes, update it as soon as possible.
Use specific time slots when you know exactly when you can take on work. Use By appointment when you may be able to help, but need to confirm the exact time first. Mark days as Not available when you do not want to receive requests for those days.
